No tarot cards or astrology readings from me today, but still a prediction for the year ahead. It’s based on the latest insights from the world of (digital) healthcare and (online) consumer behaviour that I’ve come across mixed with my personal expectations too!
How does this help you? Well, the days that you could build a successful practice on word of mouth alone are behind us. You’ll need a strong presence online, an authentic brand and clear practice processes in place to continue to attract clients today. This forecast will help you invest your time in the right places as you build and grow your practice for years to come. Let’s get started!
The holistic healthcare market will continue to grow, with more brands entering the space, from products to treatments and more. To stand out you’ll need to make sure your online presence is in perfect shape, including your branding, website and booking flows. Online search will change drastically with ongoing AI developments, so focus less on SEO but having a Google Business Account will be more important than ever. (You’ll receive a how-to guide from me about that in January).
Social media platforms will continue to shift, changing algorithms as always and they’ll focus more on high-end content instead of humans just sharing their human lives. Still, for the content that you share to perform well and reach the right people it should include you, so create videos with yourself in them.
With a lot of change coming, you want to avoid being dependent on your social media channels for client bookings, instead connect and grow your audience on your own platforms (your website) and through your own channels, especially newsletters.
We’ll continue to see a trust recession, so do everything you can to build trust with your audiences. Clearly showcase your credentials, registrations with regulatory bodies and years in practice. Share research-based information on your treatments. Build a high-quality presence online that reflects your presence offline; a strong website, beautiful branding, and clear positioning to help future clients build trust with you and book their treatments.
The shift from interest in big corporations to small business will be helpful to you - the more you can authentically express yourself through your professional brand, the easier it will be for future clients to build trust, understand your offering and book treatments. So invest in your branding!

The number of people looking for complementary treatments will grow, this is great news for you but also a reminder to get your processes and boundaries in place for no-shows/late cancellations, booking flows, communications before and after treatments, payment options, etc. I’ll share more on how to do this in the new year!
Women’s health will still be on the rise, with a focus on peri-menopause, hormonal balance and longevity.
Younger generations will make their way to your treatment rooms also, with Gen Z’s growing interest in mental and holistic care. If you want to welcome them in consider adapting your website content, and shift where you’re posting content online - TikTok is where they’ll be at.
With the rise of AI we'll see an overwhelm of AI-generated (read: boring and inauthentic) content, so curation becomes more and more meaningful. You can help clients by curating resources for them and curate a selection of high quality supplements or other products that will help them alongside your treatment offering. This will help position yourself as the expert in your field.
