Hello! I’m Nicky, the founder of Circe Health and Circe Studio. We bring modern business tools to holistic healthcare practitioners who are looking for sustainable success.

This is what others said about my work: “an utterly brilliant service”, “really tapped in to what potential clients are looking for”, and “an absolute dream to work with”.
Website design work isn't just about making your website 'look good', your website is how you present yourself (and your business) to the world. It's a chance to show your audience how you interact with clients, the care you put into your work and the values you stand for. This is what makes your online presence a foundational piece of your practice - from branding, to website visitor flow and page designs.
And one of the most frustrating experiences is when you feel like you’ve done all the things, ticked all the boxes to set up your website in the right way to help grow your website traffic - but it doesn’t seem like it’s actually working for you by attracting enough new clients.
In my work as a certified website designer, I work with many different holistic practitioners, from acupuncturists, to nutritionists, homeopaths, osteopaths, and others, I’ve seen many different use cases of how to solve this issue. So I thought to share my learnings and some helpful insights on the topic with you today!
Here’s the checklist I run through with clients at the start of our work together, to find out how we can best improve their website:
Is it a website traffic or a website design problem? Check how much traffic you’re currently getting to your website - you can do this in your website’s Analytics page. If you’re getting less than 100 visitors a month, you can safely say it’s time to drive more traffic to your website. If you’re getting over 100 visitors per month but you’re not receiving any (or enough) client enquiries, it’s time to review the design, branding and content on your website to make it more effective.
Do you need more website traffic? Quick wins are making sure you show up in online searches, double-checking your social media accounts have an easy way to find your website, starting an email newsletter that links to your website, and there’s some in-person ways to drive more traffic too - you can find more on those in a previous article here:
Do you need to improve your website design? If the answer is ‘yes’, this can be your sign to update your website’s overall design - but first things first: make sure all your pages and links are working, especially when it comes to ways to contact you. If you have pages on your website that aren’t working, it immediately gives your future clients a bad impression. And you’d be surprised how often contact links don’t work, which is luckily an easy fix!
Still need to work on fixing your website’s design to bring more clients in? If you’re not getting many new bookings in, but you’re getting a healthy number of website visitors, and all the ways to contact you are working and easy to find - it’s time to review the way you present yourself and how you speak about your offering so that it lands clearly and resonates with your website visitors.
Maybe your website’s branding is out of date which makes it less attractive to prospect clients, or it isn’t clear how you can help people with your services which means website visitors leave your website without taking any action, or maybe it’s unclear how people can contact you and book their treatments so they go look elsewhere - it can be a range of issues. If this is you, it’s is a great time to bring in an external website designer who can help make your website work properly for you. Improving your website after you’ve tried all options yourself will be more of a technical task.
As you’ve run through this checklist you’ll now have some clarity on what might the culprit of the lack of new website enquiries. And know that it’s not just you - building an online presence that’s engaging, effective, and up-to-date is always a work in progress. Especially as the online landscape is always in motion, and what works well or what your future clients expect from your website changes with it.
If you're looking for 1:1 support when it comes to improving your website, whether you need a helping hand or want expert advise to help you do the work yourself - I’m happy to help! I’m a certified website designer with Squarespace specialising in the holistic healthcare space so I know exactly what your audience needs, and how to present your services in a way that works. Here’s what a recent client shared after worked on her website redesign:
“Your kindness, creativity and professionalism have totally turned around my confidence moving forward with my business. I have learnt so much from you, I am on the right path now and know where to spend my time. What was overwhelming to me when we first met is now exciting and purposeful.” - Kerry, acupuncturist.
And as we work on designing your website, I always sprinkle in some coaching support to get clear on your strategy moving forward. What is your ideal way of communicating with future clients, what treatments, symptoms or client types do you want to focus on, and what direction do you want to move in? Whether it's financial growth, landing a job at your favourite clinic, or moving to a different way of working all together. With some support, growth doesn't have to be overwhelming.
